Albert N. Kapin, ESQ
Albert N. Kapin has been practicing criminal law in New Jersey since 1982. After graduating from Lafayette College in 1978, Mr. Kapin attended Western New England College School of Law, where he served as an editor on the Law Review. Following graduation, he served as law clerk to the Hon. F Michael Caruso of the Superior Court in Essex County.
Mr. Kapin joined the Essex Adult Region Office of the Public Defender in 1982 and tried well over a hundred jury trials to verdict. He has tried over thirty murder cases including four capital trials. He has served as a supervising attorney for fifteen years and often lectures at ICLE seminars sponsored by the Public Defender’s Office in Trenton. Over the years, Mr. Kapin has handled hundreds of criminal matters that resolved without the need of a trial. He is currently engaged in the private practice of criminal law and often mentors younger attorneys in the field of criminal defense law.
